Tucked away on the green in the idyllic village of Sedlescombe, The Queens Head has been welcoming travellers, villagers and friends since the 15th century. Six hundred years on, the exposed beams and large open fireplaces that greeted our very first guests still give the pub its character today.
There's nothing quite like settling in by a roaring fire on a cold evening with a proper pint in hand, or - on a finer day - taking a seat out in our beer garden and watching the village go by. We're proud to be dog friendly throughout, both inside the pub and out in the garden, because a good local should welcome the whole family.
Over the centuries the building has seen a great deal of village life pass through its doors - and we're always glad to hear from anyone with stories, photographs, or memories of The Queens Head to help us tell that story more fully. Pop in and say hello, or drop us a line - we'd love to hear from you.
(This page is a starting point - replace it with more detail on the building's actual history, any listed status, notable past landlords or events, and old photographs once you have them to hand. It's the easiest page on the whole site to edit, since it's just plain HTML with no dashboard involved.)
